Christmas Break Review

Hi everyone,

I wanted to reach out and say a massive thank you to our players, parents, coaches, and volunteers for all your hard work this year. It has been an incredible period from try-outs to now.

I could never have imagined the groups would develop so well and so quickly together. What I have loved most is that we have 100% maintained our club culture; I am so pleased that our new players have bought in, and our returning players have kept their standards high!

League Standings

While we aren't all about results, I am astonished to see that we head into the Christmas break in the top two of every single division in the Berkshire League:

U12s 1st of 14

U18s 1st of 4

U10s 2nd of 6

U14s 2nd of 14

U16s 2nd of 14

Queens 4th of 10

Men’s Teams 6th & 8th of 11

Not to mention we sit top of 2 Bucks leagues as well for our JNR groups.

Rest & recovery

As much as we love the sport, downtime is vital for recovery and motivation. We are taking this week completely off from training. Our coaches are already planning for January–March 2026, which is when "crunch time" begins!

U16s: You still have two games in Bucks on the 21st

.Queens: We're having a catch up this Saturday

Light sessions

Over the next two weeks, we will look to host a few light sessions so it isn't a complete shock to the system when we return. We will release dates shortly and go with the most popular options.

Basketball Sources

Many of you have asked where to watch the pros in action over the break.

Here are the best spots:

Amazon Prime: You can watch the NBA for free (look for games marked "Prime" rather than "League Pass").

DAZN: This carries all British Super League games, the Champions League, the Spanish League, and NCAA Div 1. Most games are free once you set up an account.

YouTube: Search for "Super League Women’s/Men’s Basketball" for top-tier UK games. You can also find the British Championship (a great standard where I used to play before my legs gave out!) as well as Olympic and classic games

Club Website: We upload our own recorded Men’s and Women’s games to our website if you want to support our local talent!

Please feel free to message the club with any questions. We have big plans for 2026 and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Happy Holidays from the Club!
