Youth Basketball Teams
The Berkshire Kings and Queens Basketball Club in Maidenhead runs a thriving youth basketball teams programme for U14, U16 and U18 players, all competing in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire CVL basketball leagues.
The 2025/26 season saw the U16s win the U16s Bucks CVL league and the Playoffs and both the U14s and U18s reach the CVL playoffs. For the coming season the U16s will be adding another team, the U16s Cavaliers. The club is always actively recruiting for new players for all the teams, so if you would like to join then contact us for a free trial session.
Training is designed to support player development, with older players in each age group given the opportunity to train alongside players from the squad above them, while U18s also benefit from training sessions with the men’s teams. Training takes place twice a week—on Saturdays at Furze Platt Leisure Centre in Maidenhead, and midweek sessions are held at Desborough College in Maidenhead for the U14s, and at Heathfield School in Ascot for the U16s and U18s.
Member can chose to train twice a week and be a team member, but if this is too much, then you can chose to train just once a week and be a team member, or not be a involved in the team games and just be a training member. It's your choice.
