Kings Basketball Teams

The Kings basketball runs two teams in the Wessex League, the 'Monarchs' and the 'Knights'.

Training Sessions

Each men's team trains twice a week, though players can pay to do all three sessions :

Saturday 2 - 3pm for both the Monarchs and Knights at Furze Platt Leisure Centre, Maidenhead, SL6 7NQ.

Mondays 8 - 9.30pm for the Monarchs, Thursdays 8 - 9.30pm for the Knights at Heathfield School in Ascot, SL5 8BQ.

The sessions are led by experienced coaches: Alec, Head Coach of the Berkshire Kings & Queens Club, Coach JP and Coach Mike. Together, they aim to improve the players techniques, work on set plays designed to create scoring opportunities and prepare for upcoming matches.

Player Recruitment

Both teams are always looking for new players. If you feel that you would like to be part of the club, whether you are an experienced player or a beginner, then get in contact and come along for a free trial training session.

Competitions

Home matches for the Monarchs are on Monday evenings and for the Knights on Thursday evenings at Heathfield School in Ascot. Check out the Wessex Basketball Association website for fixtures, results and league tables. The Knights play in Wessex Men's Division 5 and the Monarchs, newly promoted to Wessex Men's Division 4.
